It was a Saskatoon Hilltops pounding that most didn't expect going into the home opener.
Hilltops head coach Tom Sargeant said all week they were going to be in tough against the Winnipeg Rifles.
But it was the Rifles who were in tough as they got routed 40-13 in front of a packed house at SMF Field on Sunday afternoon.
"I'm happy with the effort," Sargeant said. "I expect to play a much better game next week."
